Feel your heartbeat next to mine let the
Tingle and sweat of your skin and the prickle of
Your body hair soothe me and seduce me into sleep?

heat of it you welcome into your mouth
relishing the burning fire that tears
into your tongue and devours your throat
the raw spice in keeping with the flames that stain
the cheeks and produce bloodied faces.
Undone, with the sting of mortality.
