Suzzan Blac paints images that no-one has ever seen before because psychology, physiognomy and body language
interest her. Her inspiration and motivation comes from negative feelings: pain, anger and frustration. Self-taught
beyond high school, she relies on observation, imagination and intense focus. Embracing oil painting in 2000, she
loves the translucent and mobile quality peculiar to that medium. She finds oils difficult but only does what is difficult
because she needs the fight and the challenge. Her biggest high is to look at a blank canvas and create something
entirely from her mind. Her greatest thrill is the reaction that reflects the viewer’s mind - whether it’s
