Davide Trame is an Italian teacher of English, born and living in Venice,Italy - writing poems exclusively in
English since 1993. They have been published in around four hundred literary magazines since 1999, in the
UK, US and elsewhere: Poetry New Zealand, New Contrast (South Africa). Nimrod (US), Scintilla and Orbis (UK)
and Prague Literary Review among them. His poetry collection as a downloadable on-line book was published

For A Moment
Once more I was struck
by the silence on the rising path
in the tall grass and mud and sunlight
and the air's swarming eyelids,
once more I heard for a moment
my usual inside voice fading,
drowning in the ground's widespread buzz
and the unreserved sky's staring,
the moment that is always present
but forgotten in the routine's pace,
the countenance you don't need to assume
that in sunlight waits,
the disentangling reassurance.
