Emma Sovich
Long Distance
Instead of pining over sex,
I miss how you call me fat
and full of ducks.
I suppose if my heart stutters
when I see you again
or when my phone sings
"White and Nerdy"
it might be love -- but that in truth
could be my arrhythmia.
One day, instead of asking why
I'm full of ducks, I might wonder
why you no longer insist it.
