It would seem obvious, what with the trunk, the blubber belly evidence of a love of pork of some sort, which party he
would join. An untraditional face, yes, but then who in politics wouldn't welcome the god of success and wealth with
open arms?
It was a landslide of course, Conservative eyes cha-ching like dollar signs thinking of what 4 -- no, 8! -- years of this
could bring them.
This was, of course, before the tidal wave of friction hit, before the Elephant Man broke ranks, spanking down on his
knee the liars and swindlers, forcing them to recall his other names: god of wisdom, destroyer of selfishness…
He spent on his pet, Education, buying books and gym equipment for the inner city schools, leaving the generals to
make do with last year's uniforms. Made provisions to dig for tulips, not oil, on the open plains.
They could not wait for the second term to be over; sweating it out in their Armani, begging Business to be patient.
Is it any wonder, then, that they would go back to electing mere mortals, turkeys and puppets lacking the gift of
omniscience?
