III Ventured There To Know
When he pulled off his boots -
time that was measurable before
couldn't explain where he had been,
or why he had ventured to
some stretch of stark highway
with nothing or no one in sight -
just to know, once more
baffled by the torn up letter
message sent from above,
all those dreams falling from the sky,
held some kind of answer,
he watched from the window
the green tree, where branches
linked and turned shaded light
into black-white, dissolve
photography to remember
reflections, materials, fodder for grieving
just the light falling down, so much light.
