Katarina Boudreaux
Originally from Louisiana, Katarina received a BA in English and a BA in Music with honors from Texas Christian University. A
working poet, musician, singer-songwriter, and piano/vocal instructor, she crafts verse and song because her mind is so full of
images and words that if she didn’t, she would sink beneath the waves of babbling insanity. Her poetry has been published
most recently in PANK and the Oak Bend Review. She currently resides, works, and sleeps infrequently in Connecticut. www.

In The Moon
I see the man
orange crescent treat
that he is
hanging life like
high
and wonder if I talked to him --
if it is a him --
and if I did,
did he give an answer that
I failed to
hear
or drifted through
or worse
was no answer forthcoming
because the cow was feast-eating
his mouth
with the dish and spoon.
